The student is able to
- identify and analyse the factors that increase vulnerability, the related support needs and their significance in nursing
- analyse special issues related to multicultural client work and immigration in social and health care
- encounter vulnerable clients sensitively in care and service situations
- promote the agency, participation and rehabilitation of vulnerable clients and their close ones as part of nursing
- describe the tasks of the service network and different actors of vulnerable client groups as part of the care and service chain as well as consult other experts
- use evidence-based data and recommendations in the guidance and nursing of vulnerable and immigrant clients
- analyse myths, beliefs and prejudices related to one's own and other people's vulnerabilities and promote the development of positive attitudes
