Tavoitteet
The student is able to
- describe how value is created for the customers through service
- recognize the essence of Service Design thinking and methods
- plan, implement and evaluate a Service Design project using service design methods
- apply creative problem-solving and develop working methods individually and in teams
- foster entrepreneurship through service design

Toteutustapa
Intensive week followed by weekly full-day workshops featuring short lectures, litterature reviews prepared by student teams, teamwork, team guidance sessions, mentoring and interim checks with the client. The core of the study unit is a service design project carried out in teams.

Project partner and client: City of Espoo. The project is related to increasing workplace security.
Toteutuksen tärkeät päivämäärät
The study unit starts with an intensive week from 20 to 24 January. Thereafter, workshops are held on Mondays, until the end of April.

This implementation is based on attendance and active participation. Enroll only if you are able to attend both the intensive week and the weekly workshops. A (non-negotiable) maximum of three absences will be permitted to allow for sickness or other force majeure reasons. Everyone must be present for the first two days (20 and 21 January).
