- further develop skills and understanding of communication culture in Finland
- seek information and vocabulary of Health Care using Finnish sources

Content and scheduling

The Student is able to:
- communicate both orally and in writing in frequent situations on professional field (level B1.1)
- further develop skills and understanding of communication culture in Finland
- seek information and vocabulary of Health Care using Finnish sources


Initial schedule:

10.9: Assistance in daily living, guidance of patients' movements
3.9: Description of patient's mobility, walking and falling, movement of different body parts
21.9: Skin and wound care, more anatomy-related vocabulary
1.10: Drugs and administration of medication, end-of-life care
6.10: Talking on the phone, reporting, agreeing on shifts and working hours

Evaluation methods and criteria

There is no exam for the course. The basis for evaluation will be the tasks returned by the student.

Evaluation criteria, approved/failed

In order to pass the course, the student must return all the tasks.
The goal of the course is learning to speak, read and write about the above-mentioned themes on a skill level equivalent to the CEFR's B1-level.
