Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- comply with the values and ethical principles of nursing in the care of clients and in the work community
- form a professional cooperative relationship with clients
- observe changes in the client’s vital functions and support vital functions in the daily nursing work
- assess and support clients’ resources and functional capacity
- apply evidence-based knowledge in the care of clients
- prepare a care plan and evaluate the care received by the client
- implement aseptic techniques
- document and give an oral report of the care given to the client
- implement enteral, parental and topical drug administration under guidance
- prepare clients and give them guidance for the main medical imaging and laboratory examinations
- evaluate results in comparison with reference values and the client’s condition, and to specify the care plan based on these results
- apply methods and operational models that promote patient safety and occupational safety in patient care
- act in first-aid situations
- work as a member of the work community and promote the well-being of the community

Learning materials and recommended literature
A) Workshops: Re study all material given during lectures (Basics of nursing) , and also the text books, and videos.
B) Clinical practice. No material needed.
Co-operation with working life and/or RDI
-Theoretical knowledge and skills practiced in school, will be implemented in geriatric units during clinical practice

3. Achievement of goals
- Lack of description of starting level and goals for the training period
- Failure in achieving persons goals for the training period
- Failure to complete placement task(s)
4. Achieving quantitative criteria
- Training hours is in complete
- The student has not present his/her signed work shift
5. Barriers due to student´s health status
