Teaching methods
Project implementation mode: the project will be carried out as a P2P project in cooperation with the University del Desarrollo Project Group (https://www.udd.cl/about-us/) and with companies from both countries looking to expand business in Finland/EU and Chile/Latin America
Project content: International Business Development, target market research (macro- and microlevel), business opportunities identification, client search, partner search. Cross-cultural communication and teamwork.
This project can also produce knowledge and credits in other modules, such as Project management, Competence in business & entrepreneurship.
Coaching and communication: will be agreed in the beginning of the project/semester
This project is suitable for blended learning students (monimuoto): yes
If the student places in this project are filled, we can place the student in another project that produces the knowhow in the same modules.
Laurea reserves the right to make changes
The aim (15 credits) is that the student is able to
- research and manage customer / market potential
- analyze and use business reports in projects
- use strategic planning, analysis and decision making tools in project contexts
- make business decisions in various project contexts
Location and time
Project meetings on Tuesdays 1330-1430, ADDITIONALLY the group will have contact meetings with Chilean group Tuesdays 1500-1600.
It is recommended to reserve Tuesday as the group teamworking day.
The invitation of the project briefing (when project starts) will be sent by e-mail.
Learning materials and recommended literature
Suitable sources will be discussed in the beginning of the project according to the project´s assignment and targets.

The student will work approximately 16 hours per week for this project; 8 hours for teamwork and 8 hours for independent work.
