Teaching methods
This course is partly implemented through a virtual game called International Social Worker of the Year, prerecorded lectures and real-time Zoom meetings.

International Social Worker of the Year Game: 3 Credits

Further information for students
As mentioned above this course is based on a virtual game called International Social Worker of the Year in the game platform Seppo. All details of the game will be provided in Optima. There will be assignments in the game which will be played in teams. To play in the game you will require a mobile device: phone, pad or laptop to participate.
Also constructive communication will be taught as a professional and personal communication method to facilitate self-development and workplace communciation through videos and Zoom sessions. The learning diary assignment is connected to this process - the student is expected to reflect on the processes experienced during the course.

Evaluation methods and criteria
•Evaluation includes both a written and oral demonstration of skills, which are graded 0-5 (presentation and exam). Evalauation is directly linked to the Common European Framework for Languages ( Assesment criteria framework is available in Optima)
•There are a total of 4 compulsory assignments: learning diary, presentation, participation in the game and the final exam. All compulsory assignments need to be accepted to obtain a grade for the course.
•As this is a communications course, compulsory attendence in the AC virtual sessions is expected (75 %)
•Your final grade for the course will be given based on the aforementioned evaluation criteria as a grade betweeen 0-5. The final grade which will be seen on the student's certificate is made up of 50% from the oral evaluation and 50% from the written evaluation.
