Learning outcomes

The student is able to:
- apply the legislation and the most common instructions and requirements on emergency preparedness according to the operations of organisations
- use various risk assessment methods in identifying and assessing accident risks
- create and introduce emergency plans and related documents and plans that support the core aims and the different organisational levels of a company
- monitor and assess the level of emergency preparedness in the organisation and develop it

Co-operation with working life and/or RDI

A worklife project concerning emergency preparedness, conducted in small groups.

Important dates

Project day 5.10.2018. Visiting the project sites, attendance is required.

Students workload

135 hours out of which about 70% will be project work.

H-5

Evaluation methods and criteria

Both, exam and the project must be approved. 30% of the grade comes from the exam and 70% from the project. Not being able to follow the schedule will affect the grade by decreasing it. The grade from the project work will in most cases be the same for all group members.

Either the exam, the project or both failed.
