Learning outcomes
The goal is to develop competence in two areas:
1. Interacting with people and sense of community
Student is able to
- work with people from diverse backgrounds and take all students equally into account in their activities
- actively support new students in getting to know one another and forming a group
- organise social events with other students
- guide and support incoming exchange students according to their needs
- create a sense of community and promote interaction in the online community
2. Guiding students
Student is able to
- present Laurea and introduce new students to Laurea’s operating methods and culture
- use Laurea’s systems and provide support for their use
- cooperate with other tutors, Laureamko student union representatives and Laurea’s staff
- work safely and in accordance with the professional code of conduct
- present the well-being services provided to students and cooperate with well-being experts
Materials
Opintojaksolla käytetään MS Teams työtilaa.
Teaching methods
Tämä opintototeutus on tarkoitettu verkkokampuksen opiskelijoille.
Opintojaksoon kuuluu keväällä 2021 tapahtuva koulutus sekä loppukesään ja alkusyksyyn 2021 keskittyvä tuutorointi.
Tuutorointiopintojakso toteutetaan yhteistyössä Laureamkon kanssa ja opintojaksoa ohjavat Jaana Akiola ja Raisa Saviaho. Etätapaamisia on kevään koulutusvaiheessa n.1 krt kuukaudessa (Teams) ja ne sovitaan aloitustapaamisessa osallistujien kanssa. Syksyllä tuutoroinnissa on etätapaamisia, myöhemmin määriteltävinä ajankohtina uusien opiskelijoiden aikataulun mukaisesti.
Exam schedules
Laureamkon järjestämälle tuutorileirille 12.-13.3. on tärkeää osallistua jos vain suinkin mahdollista.
Content scheduling
1. Tuutorkoulutus, valmiuksien kartuttaminen, orientaatio-ohjelman suunnittelu ja mahdollisten materiaalien tuottaminen sekä kampusaktiivisuus (verkkokampuksen tuutoroinnin kehittäminen, etäohjaus valintakokeisiin liittyen, tms.) (2 op)
2. Tuutorointi ja orientaatio-ohjelman toteutus yhdessä opettajatuutorien kanssa, etäyhteyksin. Lisäksi uusien tuutoropiskelijoiden rekrytointi ja mentorointi (3 op)
