Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- realistically evaluate their abilities to form a professional interaction relationship with clients
- observe and assess changes in vital function and act accordingly
- apply the basics of safe pharmaceutical care
- implement enteral, parenteral and topical drug administration
- administer first aid

Spring 2019 at Laurea Tikkurila campus . Schedule for the studyunit will available in Pakki!

Medication Treatment re-takes on general examination days in April and May 2020.
Medication calculations re-takes on 20.2. (same time with medication treatment-exam) and on general examination day March.

•Boyd, C. 2013. Student Survival Skills : Medicine Management Skills for Nurses (e-book, available in ebrary).
•Student Survival Skills : Calculation Skills for Nurses 2013 by Boyd, Claire. Publisher: John Wiley & Sons ( E-book available free of charge via school library. Link will be provided later)
•Other study material will be given by the lecturer

Further information

At least 80% attendace is needed to be able to complete the course. If a student is absent from a contact lesson (20%) they will have to do a make up assignment to show their understanding of the subject matter.
