Learning outcomes
The student is able to:
- speak and understand Finnish in very basic and familiar everyday situations
- write very short and simple texts, e.g. notes
- use some of the basic grammar structures
Target level: A1.2. in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
Teaching methods
Implemented online. Independent studies in Canvas learning platform, contact lessons online in Teams.

Student workload
3 credit points equals 81 hours of student's work. This consists on individual studies in Canvas, group work and the contact lessons.
Content and scheduling
Contact lessons on weeks 15 - 18. The themes are: introducing yourself, asking and giving contact information, telling about your family.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The student has completed all three course assignments and hence shows level A1 (CEFR, see https://rm.coe.int/CoERMPublicCommonSearchServices/DisplayDCTMContent?documentId=090000168045bb5 2).
