Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- describe the central concepts of microbiology and pathology, and the classification of diseases
- recognise the significance of microbes for human health
- describe which factors affect the onset of diseases and cause changes in the body
- describe how an infectious disease emerges
- describe the immune system of the human body
- describe the types of tissue injury, and the mechanisms of emergence, symptoms and onset of tissue injury

Materials

Oppimistehtäviin liittyvä aineisto on sähköisenä ja linkitettynä tehtävänantoihin.
Osa aineistosta on lisenssoituja (esim. Duodecimin Terveysportin digikirjat, Sanoma Pron animaatiot / hankittuina Laureassa). Jos nämä aineistot eivät ole omassa ammattikorkeakoulussasi käytössä, Duodecimin kirjoja löytyy printtiversioina ja animaatioita englanninkielisinä netistä.

- Elimistön puolustusjärjestelmä
- Kudosvauriot

Oppiminen tapahtuu monipuolisten tehtävien avulla.
Opinnot toteutetaan Laurean verkko-opintoina.

Student workload
