Learning outcomes

Student is able to
- demonstrate the know-how of information and cyber security principles
- analyse the importance of executive roles as a part of an organization’s information security and the effect of information risks on an organization
- evaluate an organization’s operations with regards to information and cyber security essential body of knowledge
- explain and justify the protection of organizations against information and cyber security threats

Teaching methods

Study unit includes 5 modules:
1. Orientation, Cybersecurity Essential Body of Knowledge and Risk Management
2. Protecting information
3. Protecting agains Human Threats (Personnel security, training and awareness)
4. Protecting IT-systems and networks
5. Hot topics & summary
Study unit includes both virtual studies, guest lectures and workshops
Optima forum is used in communication
Tutoring is available during workshops
All materials are in English.
NOTE:
- This study unit is preferably offered for security management students as compulsory studies (groups HTA218SN & HRA218SN) and other students are eligible to be enrolled in case of free seats
