Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- identify cash flows associated with capital budgeting decisions
- recognize the time value of money and the importance of discounting cash flows
- use NPV, IRR, payback period and accounting rate of return to determine whether or not a project is acceptable
- interpret how sensitivity analysis can help in decision making
