Learning outcomes

Student is able to
- describe multidisciplinary rehabilitation, rehabilitation services and the rehabilitation service
system in Finland,
- define physiotherapy as a profession and field of science, taking into account multicultural starting points,
- explain and recognise the societal significance of rehabilitation and the status of physiotherapy as part of the rehabilitation process and the service system,
- define the concept of functional ability according to the ICF classification and describe the
importance of the client’s motivation and resources in the rehabilitation process, and
- follow the professional ethics guidelines of a physiotherapist.

Content

E1_Rehabilitation process and services (2 ECTS credits; 3,4 Chinese credits)
54 hours: 2 offline lessons; 12 online lessons; 40 hours independent work, group work, pair work, practical work

Content:
- Rehabilitation systems and services, multiprofessional rehabilitation and social meaning of
rehabilitation.
- International classification of functioning (ICF-model)
- Clients' motivation and resources in rehabilitation process.

E2_Physiotherapy as a profession (2 ECTS credits; 3,4 Chinese credits)
54 hours: 12 offline lessons; 4 online lessons; 38 hours independent work, group work, pair work, practical work.

- Physiotherapy as a profession and a part of the rehabilitation system.
- Ethics in physiotherapy
