The student is able to
- speak and understand Finnish in everyday situations
- understand the main point in newspaper articles and TV programs if written/spoken in simple language
- write texts, e.g. e-mails
- use grammar structures but can still make many mistakes

Content and scheduling

The student is able to - speak and understand Finnish in everyday situations - understand the main point in newspaper articles and TV programs if written/spoken in simple language - write texts, e.g. e-mails - use grammar structures.

Studying vocabulary, describing one's home country, grammar, expressions of time, adjective comparison, expressings one's opionion - agreeing and disagreeing - , dates and ordinal numbers, expressing ownership, locality and necessity.
