Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- describe the opportunities, operators and networks in the business environment*
- define the functions, processes and IT systems of an organization
- define the core and supporting processes of an organization
- apply the concept of value chain and customer driven value creation in process development
- assess the financial and operational performance of logistics as part of the supply chain management

Teaching methods

In this course you study at campus. It is very important that you attend the lectures. There will be assignment during the lecture, and you can earn points from them. Students who attend the lectures earn the points from these assignments. After lecture sent submits for those assignments are not accepted.

There will be different units that effect on assessment. Everything will be explained in the first lecture.

03.10.2025 09.00 - 11.30 is the kick-off for this course. It is compulsory that you attend this first session. Possible absence must be informed by email for both tutors by email mervi.saarela@laurea.fi and marjaana.ajanto@laurea.fi.
