Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- explain the main concepts of anatomy and physiology
- describe the structure and functioning of cells, tissues, organs and organ systems, and explain their significance in the functioning of the human body as a whole
- explain the main concepts of microbiology and pathology, and the classification of diseases
- explain the significance of microbes for human health and the causation of infectious diseases
- explain how different factors affect the causation of diseases and cause changes in the body
- explain the different types of tissue damage, their causation mechanisms and symptoms

Teaching methods
Physiology and anatomy for exams 1. and 2. will be held as lectures.
There will be self studies according microbiology, anatomy and physiology.
Student workload
Studies are 5 cr. This is about 134 h. students work.
Lectures and exams 32 h. All other work is as students independent work.
