The student is able to:
- understand the forms of hybrid threats
- understand how to counter hybrid threats
- understand how to prevent hybrid threats
- understand how to create hybrid threats' deterrence
- recognize when an organization or society is under hybrid influence and manipulation
Teaching methods
The study unit is organized as a series of lectures associated with written submittable reflections per a topic being studied. The study unit covers following topics:
- Module 1: Understanding Hybrid Threats
- Module 2: Hybrid Influence and Manipulation
- Module 3: Countering Hybrid Threats
- Module 4: Preventing Hybrid Threats
- Module-5: Hybrid Threats' Deterrence

The students submits an reflective essay per topic being covered.
Passing criteria: 4 of 5 submitted and accepted essays.
Requirements for essays:
- The essay covers the topic being studied
- The essay length is min. 1 page of written text excluding images and references
- The essay is submitted in in Word- or PDF format
- Purely AI-assisted submissions are not accepted (review Laurea AI-guidelines)
- Proper referencing practicalities are applied (essays without proper referencing are not accepted)
