Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- communicate in oral and written English in work life situations in their own sector at proficiency level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
- tell about the studies and tasks of the Nurse/Public Health Nurse, discuss illnesses and health matters as a professional and meet the patient in different types of nursing situations
- use the key English terminology used by professionals in the health sector
- use research information and topical information about the health sector published in English
- develop their professional language skills by using different types of learning techniques and tools
Teaching methods
Online classes: Have a laptop + microhone headset or similar device.
Topics: anatomy, cancers, strokes, heart diseases, allergies, wound care, nursing procedures.
Oral presentations, class work, homework.
