Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- explain the main concepts of anatomy and physiology
- describe the structure and functioning of cells, tissues, organs and organ systems, and explain their significance in the functioning of the human body as a whole
- explain the main concepts of microbiology and pathology, and the classification of diseases
- explain the significance of microbes for human health and the causation of infectious diseases
- explain how different factors affect the causation of diseases and cause changes in the body
- explain the different types of tissue damage, their causation mechanisms and symptoms
