Location and time
Placement 2 can be completed at any time after completion of Placement 1.
Apart from recognition of prior learning, it is recommended to complete Placement 2 after the second year of your studies (summer 2026 or later)

Teaching methods
Placement can be completed by recognition of prior learning, at a workplace (paid employee), or as an unpaid internship.

Employer connections
Placement 2 is completed at a real-life workplace.
Exam schedules
Placement 2 has no contact lessons or joint sessions. However, Placements are discussed during your tutoring classes and in your personal study planning discussions (PSP discussions)

Completion alternatives
Placement can be completed by recognition of prior learning, at a workplace (paid employee), or as an unpaid internship.
Student workload
Total workload of Placement 2 is 15 credits, which translates to 400 hours of work.
In a full-time position (e.g. 5 workdays a week) this translates to 10 weeks of work.
In a part-time position, work shift logs or other accounting is used to amass a total of 400 hours of work.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The Placement is Approved, if the following criteria are evident from the returns provided and tied into expertise in the field of Safety, Security and Risk Management:
