Critical infrastructure protection -study unit is a complementary study, that aims to deepen your competence in the field of preparedness. In the grading Laurea evaluation criteria level 2 is applied.

All material and assignments for the study unit are compiled on the Canvas learning platform, which opens.at the latest on 31.8.

Alternative completion methods of implementation

According to the degree regulations “all students are entitled to demonstrate their competence. The recognition and accreditation of prior competence is initiated by the students themselves. The competence is recognised and accredited by the teacher responsible for the module or study unit or another person designated by the director of the UAS unit. The assessment is carried out according to the same criteria and grading scale as that adopted for the corresponding study unit.” For further information visit Link.

Prior higher education studies can be accredited in the degree if their content corresponds to the learning objectives of this study unit.

Demonstration of competence is possible if the student has the competence described in the learning outcomes of this study unit. Competence can be acquired, for example, through his / her prior work experience or studies. If the competence is recognized, it can be demonstrated, for example, by giving an expert lecture on the topic during this course to other students in the study unit. The demonstration of competence is always agreed individually with a student.

Students who wish to demonstrate their competence must submit an analysis of their competence according to the instructions in Canvas. (Tradenomikoulutus – Osaamisen näytöt -workspace) In analysis student describes their competence and how it fulfills the learning outcomes of this study unit. The analysis must contain concrete examples, so for example the list of educations/trainings and job titles is not enough.
