Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- utilise personal creativity and resources in client work.
- use creative and functional working methods while working with various clients.
Teaching methods
The study unit includes aspects of creative methods as tools for communication and empowerment, gaining personal experience on different creative methods, inclusion and participation of clients within the context of social services.
The course consists of contact teaching days at Tikkurila Campus and of individual study tasks and a group work.
International connections
The study unit is suitable for exchange students.

Further information
According to Laurea's Degree regulations it is compulsory to attend the first session in order to keep the place on the course.
To be able to pass the course the student is required to attend 80 % of the contact lessons and show active participation during the lessons.
Evaluation will be based on active participation and reflection of the group process and creative methods assignments.
To pass the course the student must be able to:
- demonstrate his/her familiarity with the knowledge basis
- return, report and communicate in a professional manner according to Laurea´s guide lines
- act in a manner that promotes the team’s entrepreneurial and responsible approach to work
