V1552 Improving Your Study Skills and Finding Your Strengths is addressed to the first and second year degree students who have challenges in their study motivation, adaptation process and learning.
We mainly have contact sessions, which are held regularly at Laurea Tikkurila on Mondays and at Laurea Leppävaara on Fridays.
It is very important to participate the first session at Laurea Tikkurila on Monday or Laurea Leppävaara on Friday. You can participate the session at campus most convenient to you. Virtual channels are also used to enhance your study progress. We also pay study visits during the study unit.
Please note: Tikkurila and Leppävaara sessions may be combined, if there are less than 20 students per / group.

Location and time

Canvas is a learning space with material and links. No pre-work or assignment is requested before the the first session.
It is important that everybody participates the first session, because we plan all the details of the study contents and learning methods according to your needs. You write your PSP (personal study plan) during the first session.

Learning materials and recommended literature

Especially for the first year students it is highly educational to participate the contact sessions. By request, you may have an optional way to conduct the studies. Individual needs are discussed with the teacher.

Forms of internationality

This is an international and multicultural learning environment and we learn from one another interactively.
