Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- communicate as a professional in field specific tasks
- speak and write English with the understanding of the appropriate style and register
- identify personal developmental needs in communication and language skills and develop realistic strategies for improvement
- search for information from professional publications and databases

Teaching methods

Opintojakso toteutetaan kokonaan verkossa. Opintojakson lopussa on suullinen ja kirjallinen tentti, jotka ovat myös verkossa. Zoom-tapaamisten (8 kertaa) ja läksyjen lisäksi opintojaksolla tehdään seuraavat suoritukset:
- Suullinen esitys, ryhmätyöskentely, H/0
- Suullinen tentti, 0-5
- Kommentoiva referaatti, H/0
- Kirjallinen lopputentti

Kahdeksasta opetuskerrasta tulee olla läsnä vähintään viisi. Ensimmäisellä kerralla tulee olla paikalla tai vähintään ilmoittaa poissaolosta.
