- able to understand the role of the emergency medical services as an essential part of health care
- able to understand the role and key tasks of the emergency medical service
- able to understand what a major accident (or multi casualty accident / incident) means
- able to understand healthcare role as a part of a large organization in a major accident
- becomes acquainted with the operation of emergency medical services and other social and health care services in a simulated major accident situation
- participates to the major accident exercise as a simulated victim
