Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- utilise evidence-based information in decision-making and in nursing care
- plan and document the care of a client/patient as a whole and to implement and evaluate the care within basic nursing interventions
- comply with the requirements of data protection and data security in nursing
- describe and implement the principles of aseptic technique and the prevention of infections
- understand the principles of pharmacotherapy, it's safe planning and drug administration via different administration routes and the significance of the evaluation of pharmacotherapy
- understand the basics of nutrition and nutritional care
- recognise factors that promote and threaten safety at work and adopts ergonomic working methods in his or her work
- perform first aid and is familiar with the system of health care in exceptional circumstances
- collect basic laboratory samples and identify laboratory values that deviate from the norm
