Learning outcomes

The student is able to:
- justify the need for vaccination to the individual, the community and society and find out the legislation underlying the vaccination
- describe the diseases to be prevented by vaccination, the benefits of vaccination and preventive measures in disease prevention
- find out the vaccines included in the national vaccination program, the different types of vaccines and the basics of the chemical composition of the vaccines
- guide the client based on the latest evidence-based information and based on a good client experience
- vaccinate safely and skillfully, considering the preparation of vaccinations, the different vaccination techniques and the precautions involved in vaccination
- identify the anaphylactic reaction and start the necessary treatment s procedures and guide the client for further treatment

Content and scheduling

Groups for vaccination workshops will be given during orientation. Compulsory attendance in both theory and workshops.
