Learning outcomes

The Student is able to
- describe the responsibility, obligations and skills requirements of a nurse in acute emergency situations
- apply one's physiological and anatomical knowledge-base in the observation, assessment and care of a patient in acute care
- apply systematic and proactive nursing models in the assessment of the patient's status
- describe acute nursing laboratory, clinical physiology and X-ray examinations and interpret their results as part of safe patient care
- describe and plan how patient care technology and monitoring, examination and care methods can be used safely and effectively as part of critical and acute patient care
- apply methods of self-regulation for nurses in the processing of demanding and loading acute nursing situations
- apply and analyse the central methods for patient safety and occupational safety risk management in acute nursing
