Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- describe the operations and protocols in global IP networks
- calculate IP subnets and supernets
- describe security vulnerabilities in IP network infrastructure
- compare and contrast IPv6 to IPv4
- describe the functional concepts and security risks in wireless networking

Teaching methods

The study unit will take place in the first half of autumn semester. We will have weekly individual assignments at Optima and weekly meetings were we have group work assignments.

The evaluation will include the weekly individual assignments, weekly group assignments and the final exam.
