Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- communicate in English in a professional way in his/her own field of study
- apply intercultural management into practice
- apply intercultural theories into practice
- plan and develop services by applying service design thinking

Teaching methods

This study unit implementation consists of pre- and post-assignments plus one intensive week online LIVE with German students during 26-30 April 2020.

Please sign up if you wish to join the Design Thinking project with students and teachers from Kiel University of Applied Sciences, Germany.

We will study cultural theories in addition to the intensive Design Thinking week. The study unit embeds English language studies by using English as the working language in accordance with the Learning by Developing approach.
Our learning environment will be Canvas, where we will test it at the same time.

The studies go during 01.04.-31.05.2020.

Evaluation methods and criteria

we follow Laurea's criteria and the language skills criteria in Finland and the EU framework

All work must be completed and on time. Any delays will influence the grade. Each student gets an individual grade.
